Christmas Cards!!!

So, I decided to save a little money this year and write a Christmas letter instead of sending the usual picture card....I wrote the letter, read it...James read it...and well...you decide:

2008 has come and almost gone…

We’ve all gotten older…Becky turned 25, Aaron 21, Joel 17 and Matthew 15.
James’ mom turned 70, and celebrated with some surprise visitors (Aaron and James). And we celebrated our 27th Anniversary.

There have been illnesses and losses…Tracy’s Uncle Mike had a quadruple bypass, her mom had her appendix removed, her dad spent time in the hospital with congestive heart failure, a dear friend went home to Jesus suddenly, Tracy’s Aunt Georgette passed away in November, and her Uncle Terry a few days ago. We also lost our cat Tigger to cancer.

We have traveled….James has been to Germany and all over the US for business, we spent 2 weeks in California this summer, James and Becky had a road trip of a lifetime and Tracy visited Becky and her parents in November.

And then there’s school…Tracy continues with her pursuit of a nursing degree. Becky is attending FIDM, majoring in fashion design and merchandising. Aaron continues his studies at UCF. Joel is a Junior and Matthew a Freshman at TCHS.

There have been moves… Becky moved to California in September, hence the road trip,
and Aaron moved into our townhome just a few miles away.

2008 has been quite a year.
We have celebrated, traveled, studied and mourned.
There have been parties and gatherings, some happy and some sad.
Yet through it all we have survived, by the grace of God, and look expectantly toward 2009!

Our prayer for you is that through all of life’s ups and downs you will keep your eyes focused on Jesus!

After all, He is the reason for the season! Merry CHRISTmas!!

With love,

The Godwin’s

Kinda depressing, huh? That's what we thought...it's all true, but still depressing!!!

Man, what a year!!! I like the letter. It shows that even though you've been through it, you've survived and still have HOPE...now that's a great testimony!! Love ya'll!
