This year has been a strange little year!
We have always had a lot of family traditions...until this year. I guess that since our whole family isn't together, it just seems weird to do the same things.
Anyway, one tradition we have had for as long as I can remember is that we go around the table 3 times saying things that we are thankful for. No repeats allowed!!
Well, this year, we didn't eat at home. We had dinner with our very good friends.
We didn't sit at a table, at least not all together. Some sat at one table, some at another, and some on the couch. So, there was no going around the table for us this year.
But, here's my little list anyhow...and this should be really easy, cause I don't have to worry about repeating what anyone else has already said!!
1- I'm so thankful for my family. A husband who loves me, in spite of myself. A wonder daughter that I miss terribly, and loving and funny oldest son, a sweet and hilarious middle son, and a wonder, keep me on my toes youngest son!
2- I'm so thankful that I am an American! I love my country, I love living in a country that allows me to be me, and doesn't make me conform to what they want of me. I love the freedom that comes with being an American! Thank you to all the wonderful men and women who serve in our armed forces, who fight so that I can be a free American!
3- I'm thankful for my salvation. For a Lord and Savior who loved me enough to die for me, so that I could spend eternity in heaven with Him! Wow, it's just too hard for me to understand!
So, happy thanksgiving everyone!!!
