Our family has a wonderful neighbor right across the street...he is an adopted grandpa for us.
When we considered moving a few years back...to a house closer to the boys school...we decided against it because that would mean leaving Mr. Noel.
We got some bad news today....Mr. Noel has cancer.
He went in for a simple surgery to remove a growth in his abdomen...kinda like a boil just under the skin. Well...the preoperative blood work showed highly elevated white blood cell count. A biopsy was done...needle aspiration...and it is cancerous. The surgery was cancelled, he was admitted, and a whole battery of tests will be run tonight and tomorrow.
Please pray for Mr. Noel. Also pray for his wife...Miss Sue. Noel is 83 years young...and he and Sue have been married since he was 17 and she was 15. They got married the day before he shipped out to serve in WWII. They are a great couple...and I know that Miss Sue would be lost without him.
