Hitchhiking!

Tree Climbing Adventures, this is for you!

One day when I was a little kid (a loooong time ago!), I told my mom I was going to run away. She asked where I was going and how would I get there. I didn't know where, but I was going to hitchhike!
So...out to the curb I went...yep, in front of the house. There I stood with my thumb out...hitchhiking!! Here comes a car...it's slowing down...it's stopping to pick me up! It's my grandpa!! He picked me up and took me to his house!
You see...my grandparent lived in the same neighborhood, about 1/2 a mile away. Mom had called Grandpa and told him what I was up to...and he drove over to pick up the little hitchhiker!!
Mom is great! Instead of throwing a fit and telling me that there was no way I was going to runaway or hitchike...she just made it safe for me to do!
I really love her!
